Lisa Frank

School sucks. All I do is research. I would much rather be paid to blog, but wouldn't everyone? Also not sure there is a demanding market for stuff-white-girl-in-her-twenties-likes. Alas, I'm trying to make this a priority. Sucks that the only reason I have time to blog right now is because I'm sick and the thought of walking to school in order to sit in a freezing cold archives room kills me.

When I was young we were sort of poor, so I didn't always get to have all the stuff other kids did. Most of my clothes came from Hills or a store in the town I grew up in called Treasure Island (my mother called it Trash Island). But I always knew what was awesome, even if I couldn't own it. And Lisa Frank was, without a doubt, the most awesome of all the awesome.

you know you want to own this.

Lisa Frank has bright colors, beautiful unicorns and designs of animals in love that only someone who is really tripping on acid could think up. In fact, Miss. Frank could probably be on an episode of intervention and, like Allison, she would be walking on sunshine. I wanted it all. What I really really really wanted though, was the sticker book.

Why on earth were sticker books so popular back in the 90s? Why did I need to transfer my stickers from their already safe place of purchased paper to a book of paper? No idea, but they were safer when they were in my diary that had a key damn it!

She also had a trapper keeper, which I did own but had to use it for about three years because it cost so much. But I loved that trapper keeper and wish I still had those loving cats to keep me warm through the cold winter days.

P.S: if anyone finds a Lisa Frank cell phone cover they should point me in the direction. I will pay lots of coins* for it!

obviously coins means pennies.
